Free-to-play Pure Guide
This guide consist of two parts.
First part guides you on how to build F2P Pure with having an access on Free to play- worlds only.
Second part guides you on how to build your F2P pure with having an access to Members- only worlds for faster progression.
The guide begins on the first part.
PART 1
Step #1: Choosing your type; 5 Attack, 20 Attack, 30 Attack and 40 Attack.
Having low attack level works if your strength level isn't high. However once you reach 60+ Strength, 40 Attack is strongly recommended. Rune weaponry is very expensive compared to adamant, mithril, black or steel, but your max hit will be much bigger and you get fights easier.
Step #2: Getting started.
As a F2P only player, there are only few quest to complete for attack experience. One of those is Vampire Slayer. Very easy quest, and gives you a kickstart by levelling your attack from 1 to 20. However this quest has boss fight that cannot be beaten by someone who isn't prepared. If you have barely no stats at all, like the majority of the people following this guide, your best bet is to get your magic up to 13, and kill the Vampire boss using fire strike spells. You also need your inventory full of high level food such as tunas or lobsters.
Now that you have 20 attack from the quest, you can use mithril weapons. Buy yourself a good training set-up, such as Full iron, Power amulet, Mithril scimitar, Cape, Boots and Gloves. Now that you're geared up, it's time to find yourself a training spot. (Don't forget to buy yourself food. Good & cheap food such as trouts or herrings is recommended)
Step #3: Getting your melee stats up.
For low level players, good place to train is at lumbridge. You can kill chickens, goblins and cows. Do that till you reach 40 Strength. At this point, buying yourself adamant scimitar is recommended.
Now you want to head to barbarian village. From there you climb down to Security Stronghold. Go through few gates answering the security questions, then search for minotaurs. Now you want to train your attack to 30 for adamant weapons. After 30 Attack you want to train your strength till 60. (Collect the iron arrows which minotaurs drop for future ranged training!).
Now that you have 60 strength, you want to train your attack to 40 and buy yourself Rune Scimitar. At this point you have to decide what to do. You can stay 60 strength and start melee Pking, or train your ranged up and ranged to 2h pk. Or you can keep training your strength up. Follow the guide if you want to keep training.
Step #4: Getting your Ranged levels up.
You want to buy yourself lots of ranged weapons and outfits:
You want to buy a regular shortbow, oak shortbow, willow shortbow and maple shortbow.
You want to buy yourself regular leather chaps, regular leather body, regular leather vambraces, regular leather cowl.
You want to buy yourself studded chaps and green d'hide chaps and green d'hide vambraces.
You want to buy yourself lots of Bronze and iron arrows. As many as you can afford.
The following guides you where to train on certain levels.
Levels 1-30: Lumbridge Cows.
Levels 30-40: Minotaurs
Levels 40-65: Hill giants
At this point, you're ready to pk. However, if you still want to keep training your strength or ranged; Stay at hill giants for ranged training. For 60+ strength you can train at hill giants too, or go to second floor of barbarian stronghold security to kill flesh crawlers.
To make sure you're not getting too many ranged levels, use the following formula to calculate: (Your strength + attack level) : 1.5 = Your max ranged level for your combat.
This is the end of part one. On the second part i will guide you on how to progress faster using the members- only worlds.
Part 2
Step #1: Choosing your type; 5 Attack, 20 Attack, 30 Attack and 40 Attack.
Having low attack level works if your strength level isn't high. However once you reach 60+ Strength, 40 Attack is strongly recommended. Rune weaponry is very expensive compared to adamant, mithril, black or steel, but your max hit will be much bigger and you get fights easier.
Step #2: Getting started.
You want to start by questing as many levels you can. Infact you only need 3 Quests completed for 40 Attack and 30 Strength. Those 3 Quests are the following: Waterfall quest, Fight arena and Tree Gnome. For Waterfall quest, 20+ HP and good food is highly recommended. For Fight arena and tree gnome 13 magic for fire strike is highly recommended for the boss fights. Now that you have a good base for your pure, it's time to buy training gear. Buy yourself full iron, fury amulet/amulet of glory, iron boots, Regen bracelet/combat bracelet, obby cape and the best ring you can afford (Berserker ring or warriors ring). Don't forget to buy yourself potions and food.
Step #3: Train your melee stats up.
Now that you have your training set-up, it's time to get to your training spot; Waterbirth island rock crabs. To get there, teleport to camelot and walk north to Relleka. From Relleka, keep walking north till you see the viking. Ask him for trip to waterbirth island (Don't forget 1k+ coins) pay him 1k coins to get to the island. Find yourself a two crabs spot. Train here till you're 60 strength. From now on you have to decide what to do. You can start melee pking, or train your ranged and strength up. Follow the guide if you decide to keep on training.
Step #4: Train your ranged up.
At this point you have to buy lots of ranged supplies. Buy the following:
-Full leather ranged gear. Studded chaps. Green/Blue/Red d'hide chaps and vambs.
-Lots of iron knives if you can afford. Cheaper alternative is Bone bolts with dorgeshuun crossbow. (Ranged level 26 required)
Now that you're geared up, get back to waterbirth island. Train your ranged at the two crab spot till you feel ready to train at three crabs spot. Train your ranged to 65.
At this point you have to decide what to do next. You can stick to 65 ranged and 60 strength and start pking, or you can train your stats up. Best training spot for you will always be the rock crabs. To make sure you're not getting too many ranged levels, use the following formula to calculate: (Your strength + attack level) : 1.5 = Your max ranged level for your combat.
